Common scenery, with well worn shoulders.  The black and white stripes on all trees and posts keep vehicles from hitting them.

3 bedroom apartments in this new 5 story construction near home of Shrini and Meena.  Women carry the bricks and sand on their heads.  Trees provide the scaffolding.  Manager guy wanted his picture taken.  Then so did three other workers.  Woman in pink was shy, but smiled delightedly when I showed her the image on my digicam.

Billboards

Billboards are everywhere in the Cities, at most crossroads in villages, and never on rural roadways.   Half are political ads for upcoming elections, and they have a more traditional Indian look.  The rest are commercial and often seem quite odd with their Western sex-sells orientation.

So how often does the photographer get his picture taken?  Seldom.   We did catch the sea beginning to part for me; a scaffold that recently held a "Welcome To India Tom C." banner; and an audience who finally did not mind my singing.

And finally my friend at the corner store, where the 7Up is never cold; same as the Shop Keeper's greeting.

Namaste.
